PARTICIPATE NOW IN A SLEEP STUDY
CONDUCTED BY THE FRAGILE X CENTER
AT PITTSBURGH CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
The Center is conducting a study on the sleep patterns and
habits of children with Fragile X syndrome. Participation
in this study can be achieved by mail, fax and email from
anywhere in the country. Children ages 3 years to 17 years,
11 months either full or premutation who may or may not
have sleep problems are eligible and encouraged to
participate.
The role of parents will be to complete three
questionnaires in the home; a general information sheet,
bedtime routine information sheet, and one questionnaire
on sleep habits. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes
to complete these three questionnaires.
Parents are then asked to complete sleep diaries on their
children in two-week cycles, with entries every morning
and evening. These brief entries take less than 5 minutes
per day.
If you are interested in participating in this study please
contact Rebecca Kronk, MSN, CRNP at the Fragile X
Center at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, 412-692-
7027, becky.kronk@chp.edu. You will need to provide
your address and contact information, and child’s age. Ms.
Kronk will provide you with a consent form and, once
they receive your signed consent, they will follow up by
sending you the full instructions and all necessary forms. |
